It moves slowly, the way attention does when it settles on a single thing. In an attempt to explore what really touches the soul rather than what is expected, the story reminds us that we create to connect with our inner space and to share it with others.
As well as offering a unique perspective on the seemingly insignificant details, it highlights an aspect that resonates with anyone who grew up there, as well as those for whom it is unfamiliar: a return to rural life, far from the noise, overcrowding and standardisation.
It is about standing slightly apart from the world, learning to read that distance not as loss but as a different kind of seeing. It wanders through familiar land looking for what was left there, and what might still be found.
